Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Kia Sorento

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Flint Hill Goods Steel Hitch Cargo Carrier on the back of our 2023 Kia Sorento. Now this is gonna be a really good option if you plan on taking a trip with your family and you're using all three rows of seating, but you need somewhere else to store your extra luggage. You'll be able to do this because if you try to store anything in the back, you'll be able to get a few things back here, but I don't think you'll be able to get all your luggage. So if you need a little bit more, this'll help you out with that. Or if you have anything that has a lot of spillage, anything like concrete or mulch and you don't want that inside your vehicle, then it's also gonna help keep it out too. So let's check it out. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Kia Sorento FHG27ZR

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today, we're talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum hitch cargo carrier on the back of our 2023 Kia Sorento. Now this can be a great option for you, especially if you and your family plan on taking any trips, and your third row's already being taken up by other people, and you just need some additional storage because if I open up our hatch, you can really see that we're very limited on space back here anyways. So if you just need a little bit more, this is gonna grant you that. And if you are hauling anything that has a lot of spillage or is pretty dirty, and you don't want that getting inside your vehicle, this is gonna be a great solution for that too. So let's check it out. So this is gonna be made out of aluminum, but it's still gonna have a 500 pound weight capacity. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the etrailer Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier on the back of our 2023 Kia Sorento. Now this will be a great option for you, especially for the Sorento, since we have three rows of seating. And if all those rows of seating are taken up, as you can see, we don't have a whole lot of space back here to store any of our luggage, especially if you plan on taking a big trip. So a great alternative is gonna be a hitch cargo carrier, especially the one we have today because it is pretty large and it can carry a lot. So let's check it out. So this is gonna be able to carry up to 500 pounds and it's gonna be very sturdy, made out of a very strong steel. more

Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Kia Sorento

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer and today we have the Reese cargo carrier that's 60 inches by 24 inches large. We're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2019 Kia Sorento. Right off the bat, if you're looking for something to expand your cargo space on your Sorento, the Reese is probably one of the most popular cargo carriers here at Etrailer. That's because it creates all this space. You have five feet of length, you have a solid steel carrier, plus this fits into your two inch hitch very easily. The one downside I have for this carrier is you do have to get your own hitch pin and because it's a hitch pin, you are gonna have a bit of wobble. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Kia Sedona

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Compact Cargo Carrier from Flint Hill Goods. This is a hitch-mounted cargo carrier that'll mount into our two inch by two inch receiver tube and give us a place for our extra cargo, whether it's stuff that we just can't fit inside of the van, maybe we've got a lot of gear and we need to put some extra stuff out here, we can do that, or maybe we've got some things that we don't want to put inside the van, whether it be messy bags of concrete or mulch, things from the hardware store that might make a mess, you can leave it out here and not ever have to bring that mess inside, because it's a lot easier to just break out a hose and hose it down than it would be to vacuum out the inside of your vehicle. It is a steel carrier, it's gonna make it nice and strong, and the anti-rattle bolt in there is gonna keep things relatively sturdy, and it's gonna have a 500 pound weight capacity, so even though it's a bit of a smaller carrier, it's got plenty of strength to carry all that gear. As far as your space goes, from front to back, we're gonna be working with 17 1/2 inches of space, and side to side, we're gonna be working with 51 1/2 inches of space. So even though it's compact, it's still packs a punch, and you can fiddle out in here. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Flint Hill Goods hitch-mounted aluminum cargo carrier on our 2018 Kia Sedona. This cargo carrier is gonna be kind of unique, in the sense that it doesn't have very high sidewalls. So if we have some things that we maybe don't need the highest side walls for, maybe something that overhangs the edges just a little bit, this might be a nice carrier for us. It's gonna have plenty of usable space. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at the trailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier on our 2020 Kia Sorento. Cargo carrier is gonna be really nice for either hauling extra gear that you can't otherwise fit inside, or just having some messy, muddy gear out here that you don't want messing up the inside of your vehicle. It can keep that mess outside where it's a lot easier to clean up, you can spray it off with the hose and you're good to go. A couple things to think about with this is your weight capacity, it is gonna have a 400 pound weight capacity and a steel construction. The steel is black powder coated, which will help prevent rust and corrosion, but it's not totally rustproof. more

Things like sports equipment, hiking gear, camping gear, stuff from the beach, or maybe mulch and soil from the hardware store that you don't want to potentially spill and make a mess inside your vehicle. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll take a look at our Curt Cargo Carrier here on our 2021 Kia K5. So first off, if you are looking for a good ground clearance and if you need something that gives you a little bit of height, this might not be the best option for you. I personally think the best fit or a better fit than this one on your Kia K5 is the etrailer tilt away cargo carrier. That's just because it gives you a 2 inch shank rise which is very necessary with anything that works with your Kia K5. Now with that being said, if you do like the affordability of the Curt Cargo Carrier as well as how it is designed to give you some anchor points, and how it is made to fit with Class I hitches, this might still be an okay option for you. more

The ground clearance to this edge here is going to be about 9-1/2 inches, and our closest point to this edge here is going to be about 2 inches. Then, from the center of the hitch pinhole to our edge here is going to be about 6 inches, so if you have different hitches for this vehicle, from the center of the hitch pinhole out, that's how far it's going to stick out. Also, the exhaust on this vehicle is going to be on the passenger side, but it does face down and is about 11-1/2 inches to our cargo carrier itself, so just keep it in mind maybe put some more of your heat-sensitive materials over to the driver side. Now, with it in this position, we do have full access to our rear hatch to get whatever we need. However, I'm going to go ahead and give you a break-over point measurement, and that's going to be the point where whatever it is you're hauling will come into contact with your rear hatch. more

Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance, to the bottom of this bolt here we're going to have about 12-1/2". That is because we do have a raised shank at the back which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. more

Raised edge around the outside is going to be about 2 inches high, this is going to give us good support for gear front to back, side to side. We've also got 4 pre-drilled connection points over at each corner for stretch, so we can get everything nice and secure. Now overall our carrier is going to take up about 5 1/2 inches. more
